Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Down at the beach house on the Jersey shore,
Joseph grabs the leashes, they’re heading out the door.
Graham’s an Irish Wolfhound, taller than the bar,
Murphy’s a Goldendoodle thinks he’s a movie star.

Joseph’s a neurosurgeon, steady with his hands,
But those two dogs start pulling and he’s skiing through the sand.
People point and laugh as the big parade goes by,
Two dogs walking Joseph underneath the Jersey sky.

[Chorus]
Graham and Murphy, Kings of the Shore,
You think you’re getting one kiss — they’ll give you twenty more.
Big ol’ tails are wagging, tongues hanging out,
Dragging Joseph down the beach while everybody shouts.

Kings of the Shore, everybody knows,
When Graham and Murphy grab the leash, Joseph goes where they go.
Big dogs, big kisses, footprints by the sea,
They may belong to Joseph — but they run the family!

[Verse 2]
Graham sees a seagull and Murphy sees a snack,
Joseph hollers, “Easy boys!” — there ain’t no turning back.
Sand is flying everywhere, flip-flops in the air,
A couple hundred pounds of love and slobber everywhere.

They love the pretty ladies, they love the kids in town,
They’ll lick you on the forehead before you can sit down.
Joseph says, “They’re friendly!” as they knock him in the sand,
Then Graham gives him kisses while Murphy licks his hand.

[Bridge]
Now Joseph likes his evenings with a cigar in his hand,
Espresso martini, feet buried in the sand.
He finally kicks back, thinks the day is complete…
Till Graham steals his chair
And Murphy’s at his feet.

One kiss from Graham, Murphy gives him ten,
Joseph wipes his face and takes another sip again.
He may be a surgeon, but when those leashes hit the floor,
He’s just the guy who works for the Kings of the Shore.

[Final Chorus]
Graham and Murphy, Kings of the Shore,
Running that beach house from the ceiling to the floor.
Big dogs, big kisses, living wild and free,
Joseph’s got his cigar and a martini by the sea.

Kings of the Shore, everybody knows,
When Graham and Murphy grab the leash, Joseph goes where they go.
He may work on brains all day,
But down beside the sea…
Graham and Murphy wear the crowns,
And Joseph holds the leash!
